rotterdam student city breaks in brief

Rotterdam is a vibrant metropolitan city and is rapidly becoming more popular with students than our Amsterdam City breaks. Rotterdam is also home to the worlds largest harbour and stunning modern architecture. Coupled with the fact that the majority of the cities population is below the age of 40 and is home to an exciting blend of nationalities from every corner of the world, stemming from Holland's former golden era of being Europe's greatest sea trading nation.

Second only to it's sister city Amsterdam, Rotterdam is one of the most relaxed and liberal cities in the world. Rotterdam's melting pot of nationalities and cultures has meant that it has become the home of some of Holland's top nightclubs, bars and cuisine that will appeal to all tastes. Students will also find that Rotterdam offers an abundant wealth of fun, exciting and educational activities.

rotterdam 4 day citybreak suggested itinerary

We do not impose a set itinerary for any of our events however we would suggest the below itinerary as a starting point for your academic group. Don't forget that our team of experienced event organisers are always on hand to help tailor any of our events or itineraries to meet your groups requirements, at little or no extra charge.

Day 1:After a warm and friendly introduction from your experienced and knowledgeable driver, your modern luxury executive coach will depart from your chosen departure point late on the evening of day one, for the journey to Holland. The channel crossing will be by either ferry or Le Shuttle and you should arrive at your centrally located 5 & 4 star hotels in Rotterdam early on the morning of day 2.

Day 2:After an early morning check in to their hotel rooms students will be able to spend the rest of the day at their leisure. We would suggest that this would be the ideal time for them to visit some of the many famous popular attractions of Rotterdam like the Kijk Kubus (Cube Houses) and The EuroMast. Unless you have pre arranged for us to organise an activity or excursion for your students.

In the late morning after breakfast on day 3 all students are invited on an optional day excursion to Amsterdam, where students will be able to visit many of the attractions Amsterdam is famous for including the Heineken Brewery, Marijuana Museum, Anne Frank House, Redlight District, Van Gogh Museum and the Diamond centre and not forgetting the many cafe's where more than just tea and coffee can be bought!

Alternatively if you have another idea for an excursion then just let us know and we'll be happy to organise it for you as part of your standard package and in most circumstances free of charge!

Day 4:Departure from Rotterdam on day four will be After a late breakfast and the journey home will commence once all students have checked out of the hotel. On route we will make a stop at the Belgian chocolate factory an excellent way to purchase inexpensive gifts for friends and relatives. We will also make a stop at a hypermarket where you will be able to buy a number of familiar UK brand items at prices typically cheaper than in UK high streets! You should arrive back at your original departure points during the late evening of day 4.
